Send a link to your TV with four digits
Typing a long URL with a television remote is awkward. LKJ lets you create a temporary numeric short link on your phone, then enter its four-digit code in the TV’s browser.
How can I send a link from my phone to my TV?
Open LKJ on your phone, paste the link and get a four-digit code. In your TV’s web browser, open lkj.st or lkj.cx, enter the code, check the destination and choose Open website. You do not need an account or a cable.
1. Create the code on your phone
Open Share a website, paste the public website address, and complete the browser check. Keep the four-digit code visible.
2. Open LKJ in the TV’s web browser
Your TV or streaming device needs a web browser. Enter lkj.st for an alphabetical keyboard or lkj.cx for QWERTY. Both addresses open the same service and accept the same codes. If your device has no browser, LKJ cannot add one or open a website directly inside a streaming app.
3. Enter four digits
Choose TV view for a large number pad. Move with the remote’s arrow keys and select digits with OK. Then choose Find my link. A physical keyboard also works.
4. Check the destination
Read the hostname and check results. Choose Open website when you want to continue. LKJ cannot guarantee that a destination is safe or that its video, login or payment features will work in your TV browser.
Why did my code expire?
New codes expire after one hour without an Open website request. Viewing the preview does not restart that hour. Create a new code if it expires; unused numbers are used first, then the oldest expired numbers may be reused after at least 30 days. Keep the version suffix when sharing a saved link.
Does it work with Google TV, Fire TV or a smart TV?
It works when your device has a web browser that can open ordinary websites. Browser availability varies by model and device. LKJ shares the website address; it does not cast a video, replace AirPlay or Chromecast, or remove a website’s sign-in requirements.
Can an AI agent create the code for me?
Yes. An agent connected through MCP, or one with an HTTP request tool, can create a code automatically. It then gives you the four digits, preview link and expiry to use in your TV browser. Connect an AI assistant to LKJ or read the agent API guide. No account or API key is needed. Fair-use limits apply.
Why use a numeric short link on a TV?
Four numbers are easier to enter with a remote than a long web address. The code also works on both LKJ domains, so you can choose the address that is easier on your keyboard.
Can I use LKJ with a laptop or another phone?
Yes. The same code works in a web browser on another device. No account or app is needed. Use public links only: short codes can be guessed. See privacy and destination checks and how LKJ works.
